GOP Candidate: Fight Against Dems Bigger Than Fight Against Terrorism #p2 #rwnjs #omfg

Look out Michelle Bachmann. If this loon wins a seat your crazy clown crown may be usurped.

GOP House Candidate: Fight Against Democrats Bigger Than Fight Against Terrorism
Allen Quist, a Republican candidate seeking the nomination to go up against Rep. Tim Walz (D-MN), has made a serious pronouncement: That the political battle against the Democrats is the defining fight of this generation, even greater than the fight against terrorism.
I, like you, have seen that our country is being destroyed. I mean, this is — every generation has had to fight the fight for freedom. This is our fight. And this is our time. This is it. Terrorism, yes — but that’s not the big battle. The big battle is in D.C., with the radicals. They aren’t liberals, they’re radicals. Obama, Pelosi, Walz — they’re not liberals, they’re radicals. They are destroying our country. And people all over are figuring that out.”

Democrats To Run Against GOP Record On National Security #p2 #boutdamntime

That looks suspiciously like Democratic spine, and all too rarely seen thing…

Turning The Tables: Democrats To Run Against GOP Record On National Security

In the wake of the botched attempt to blow up an airliner on Christmas day, Republicans are seeing dollar-signs. But the returns may be fleeting.

In an interview with Huffington Post, Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, says that going into the 2010 mid-term elections, Republicans will have plenty of questionable national security votes to answer for.

For starters, House Republicans opposed a Homeland Security funding bill that included funding for airport security. But it goes beyond the House

Now Pretend Everything In The Last Eight Years Never Happened

From People For The American Way:

In a letter released [Monday], all 41 Senate Republicans threatened to filibuster President Obama’s judicial nominees unless they were given veto power over judges from their states. The letter also demanded that President Obama renominate ultra-conservative Bush nominees like Peter Keisler, Glen Conrad and Paul Diamond.

We all remember that under Bush, the custom of consulting with the (Democratic) home-state senators of a nominee was abandoned, because Elections Have Consequences, etc., etc. From the late 1990s into 2003, the Senate rules were changed multiple times to dilute, and finally nullify, the power of senators in the minority to offer any objection to a nomination.
But that was then, and this is now, and anyone who's been paying even the slightest bit of attention can tell you that there is absolutely nothing — nothing — that Republicans believe in as a matter of principleRead more at www.dailykos.com
